And I don’t mean the networking website… In the quiet of the afternoon while the baby slept, the boisterous children who live below us miraculously ceased their racket. I noticed an extra sound in the background of trains, cars, and those buzzing motorized bicycles. Hundreds of sparrows (I think) seem to be nesting up in our area this afternoon, probably just a brief stopover in their fall migration. Their chattering ceased only when a train sped past the Oberwinterthur station. I don’t know how long they will be staying as we’re having a bit of an Indian Summer right now.
Next up, a review of my first birthday in Switzerland. But first, the baby and I are going for a hike (as soon as he wakes up, which I think is very soon) in the woods above our home to have a look at the fall foliage.

Sounds wonderful.
